Collection: Plains Indian Metal Work
Most items in this collection are made of German Silver, which is an alloy of nickel, zink, and copper, first developed in Germany around 1860. It was traded widely to American Indians and has become the traditional metal for this type of work. Other items in this collection are made of brass or sterling silver.
All the pieces are made here in our shop by native American craftsmen. We try to make each piece different. They are hand polished to a high shine that sometimes does not show up in the pictures.
